GREATER NOIDA: Gautam Bud- dha University (GBU) in Greater Noida is embarking on the devel- opment of a 'Center for Entre- preneurship and Skilled Human Resource' aimed at empowering management and technology students. Officials on Friday said that the university has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Software Technol- ogy Parks of India (STPI) to facil- itate industry-oriented training and certification programs. The initiative targets students seeking to establish their own start-ups and gain hands-on experience in their respective fields. Starting from the upcoming session, which commences on August 16 for new students and August 7 for returning students, GBU students enrolled under this Center will have access to internships, placements, and field visits in management and technology sectors, backed by STPI's support, officials aware of the matter said. Dr. Vishwas Tripathi, regis- trar of GBU, said, "STPI will serve as a mentor to our stu- dents, providing certification programs and internships. The organization is involved in vari- ous projects for the Indian gov- ernment, offering internship opportunities to our students. Additionally, STPI specializes in translational research, enabling students to build upon existing studies, rectifying any shortcom- ings, and closing the gap between lab research and indus- try applications to swiftly bring innovative ideas to the Indian market." The agreement is expected to be particularly advantageous for students in Schools of Engineer- ing, Information and Communi- cations Technology, Biotechnol- ogy, and Management. "STPI has a centre in Noida where our stu- dents will go to learn better, and their scientists will come here to teach our students", Tripathi added. Dr. Arvind Kumar, director general of STPI, said that the agreement's primary focus is on establishing an 'Entrepreneur- ship Center' that nurtures start- ups. "STPI, a prestigious software technology organization under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology and is dedicated to promoting innova- tion, research and development within the IT industry," the director said. Meanwhile, Professor RK Sinha, vice chancellor of GBU, said, "These programs will cover cutting-edge technologies like- IoT (Internet of Things), Artifi- cial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), augmented & virtual reality, data science & analytics, cyber security, drone development, efficiency aug- mentation, and more."

एनबीटी न्यूज, ग्रेटर नोएडा : गौतमवुद्ध यूनिवर्सिटी के नए सत्र में एडमिशन के लिए विदेशी छात्र-छात्राओं का रुझान बढ़ता दिख रहा है। इस सत्र में विदेशी छात्र-छात्राएं भारत आकर बुद्ध को समझने के लिए स्टडी कर रहे हैं। संस्थान में पहली वार डासा योजना के तहत वीटेक और मिनिस्ट्री ऑफ एजुकेशन के स्टडी इंडिया प्रोग्राम के तहत बुद्ध स्टडीज में वीए में और एमए में एडमिशन लिया है। जीवीयू में इंटरनैशनल अफेयर के डायरेक्टर प्रोफेसर अरविन्द्र सिंह ने बताया कि नए सत्र 2023-24 में एडमिशन प्रक्रिया के लिए अधिकांश विदेशी छात्र मुख्य रूप से वौद्ध अध्ययन और सभ्यता स्कूल द्वारा प्रस्तावित पाठ्यक्रमों में संस्थान का विकल्प चुन रहे हैं। पहली वार डासा और केंद्र सरकार के शिक्षा मंत्रालय की तरफ से चलाए जा रहे स्टडी इंडिया प्रोग्राम के तहत तीन बच्चों ने एडमिशन लिया है। उन्होंने । विदेशी स्टूडेंट्स में बढ़ रही बौद्ध अध्ययन में बीए, एमए और बीटेक की डिमांड बताया कि डासा के तहत वीटेक कोर्स में दो एडमिशन हुए है। जबकि, स्टडी इंडिया प्रोग्राम के तहत वुद्ध स्टडीज एमए में दो और वीए में एक बच्चे ने जगह पक्की की है। अभी तक एमए में 30 आवेदन आए हैं, जिनमें 11 स्टूडेंट्स आ रहे हैं। वीए में 20 आवेदन हुए हैं, जिनमें 11 फाइनल हो गए हैं। डासा भारत के तकनीकी संस्थानों में विदेशी नागरिकों, एनआरआई (अनिवासी भारतीय), पीआईओ (भारतीय मूल के व्यक्ति) और भारत के विदेशी नागरिकता (ओसीआई) के प्रवेश के लिए आईआईटी, एनआईटी, प्रतिष्ठित संस्थान आदि शामिल हैं। इस प्रक्रिया में विदेशी छात्र भारत में तकनीकी शिक्षा के इच्छुक हैं, उन्हें भारत में आकर अध्ययन का मौका देती है।

ग्रेटर नोएडा । गौतम बुद्ध विश्वविद्यालय में शनिवार को बीटेक, बीएएलएलबी 17 जुलाई को बची सीटों और बॉयोटेक्नोलॉजी की काउंसलिंग हुई। काउंसलिंग की होगी काउंसलिंग में बड़ी संख्या में विद्यार्थी और अभिभावक मौजूद रहे। पहले राउंड की काउंसलिंग में बीटेक की 700 में से लगभग 400 सीटों को विद्यार्थियों ने लॉक कर दिया। इनमें से जनरल कैटेगरी की कंप्यूटर साइंस (सीएस) की सभी सीटें फुल हो गईं हैं। कंप्यूटर साइंस के सामान्य वर्ग में कटआफ 117 रैंक तक गई है। विश्वविद्यालय की प्रवेश परीक्षा 25 जून को संपन्न हुई थी। इसमें बीटेक इंजीनियरिंग के सभी ब्रांच, बीटेक बॉयोटेक्नोलॉजी, बीटेक फूड प्रोसेसिंग टेक्नोलॉजी एवं बीएएलएलबी की परीक्षा हुई थी। परीक्षा का परिणाम 30 जून को घोषित किया गया था। 8 जुलाई को उत्तीर्ण छात्र-छात्राओं को काउंसलिंग में नामांकन के तीनों कार्यक्रमों में काउंसलिंग प्रक्रिया में बची सीटों को 17 जुलाई को दूसरे चरण की काउंसलिंग में भरा जाएगा। इसके बाद भी सीटें यदि बचीं तो तीसरे चरण की काउंसलिंग आयोजित की जाएगी। लिए आमंत्रित किया गया। इस दौरान सबसे अधिक संख्या में बीटेक की ब्रांच में दाखिले के लिए आए विद्यार्थी रहे हैं। शनिवार को रात करीब नौ बजे काउंसलिंग चलती रही। छात्रों का सबसे अधिक रुझान बीटेक के विभिन्न ब्रांचों में दिखा। दूसरी तरफ, बीए- एलएलबी और बीटेक एमटेक बायोटेक्नोलॉजी में भी अच्छी संख्या में छात्रों ने नामांकन किया।

ग्रेटर नोएडा । गौतम बुद्ध विश्वविद्यालय में प्रवेश परीक्षा के तहत उत्तीर्ण छात्र- छात्राओं को नामांकन हेतु काउन्सलिंग के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया। प्रवेश परीक्षा 25 जून को संपन्न हुई थी जिसमें बीटेक इंजीनियरिंग के सभी ब्रांचों, बीटेक बायोटेक्नोलॉजी, बीटेक फूड प्रोसेसिंग टेक्नोलॉजी एवं बए- एलएलबी र की परीक्षा हुई थी और जिसका परिणाम 30 जून को घोषित किया गया था। इसी क्रम में आज जीबीयू के प्रवेश विभाग 1 ने नामांकन के काउन्सलिंग आयोजित र किया दैट जिसका प्रवेश परीक्षा में उत्तीर्ण छात्रों का अपार जन समूह नेसिस प्रक्रिया में प्रतिभाग किया। छात्रों का सबसे ज्यादा रुझान बीटेक के विभिन्न ब्रांचों में थी वहीं बीए एलएलबी और बीटेक एमटेक बायोटेक्नोलॉजी में भी अच्छी संख्या में छात्रों ने नामांकन किया। प्रेस विज्ञप्ति जारी करते समय तक (6 बजे तक) उपर्युक्त सभी पाठ्यक्रमों में नामांकन हुई । आज की काउन्सलिंग में तकरीबन 500 नामांकन हो चुकी है और काउन्सलिंग प्रक्रिया अभी भी जारी है और प्रवेश विभाग का अनुमान है कि लगभग 60-70 एडमिशन और होने की उम्मीद है।

Noida: Due to a delay in thé announcement of results for the Common University Ent- rance Test (CUET), Gautam Buddha University has exten- ded its application deadline till July 15. For discourses, in which the varsity conducted its entrance exam, the coun- selling will take place between July 5 and 8. "Several students could not apply for the courses as the CUET result is still not declared. The seats for multi- ple courses are still vacant. Hence, we are extending the date of admissions," said a university official. So far, over 10,000 applica- tions have been received this year. This year, the university is offering a total of 3,995 seats. Meanwhile, applicants who have successfully clea- red the university's entrance examination for BTech, BA LLB, PhD, LLM, MBA, and MPhil (Clinical Psychology) will be eligible for enroll- ment and have been in the co- unselling process between July 5 to July 8. Qualified candidates will be called for an interview round on July 6 and 7, post which eligible stu- dents will get admission. "The results for the GBU entrance test have been decla- red on June 30. The portal for direct admission on merit is still open, and we are exten- ding the application deadline to July 15," said Ravindra Ka- mar Sinha, vice-chancellor of Gautam Buddha University

Ashni Dhaor ashni.dhaor@hindustantimes.com NOIDA: Owing to a delay in the announcement of CUET UG 2023 (Common University Entrance Test Under Graduate) results, the Gautam Buddha Uni- versity (GBU) on Saturday extended the admission applica- tion deadline to July 15 from the earlier June 30, said officials. According to professor RK Sinha, vice-chancellor of GBU, the university is offering 135 pro- grammes with 3,995 seats. He further said the varsity has two modes of admission - computer based test (CBT), for courses requiring admission an entrance test, and direct mode admission based on merit. "Considering the inclination of students to participate in the second phase of the admission process and the delay in the announcement of CUET UG 2023 results, GBU admission department has extended the application deadline to July 15, from the earlier June 30," said the V-C. Officials said earlier, CUET UG 2023 results were expected in the first week of July; how- ever, now the results are expected only on July 15.
