The Gautam Buddha University will soon roll out a three-year LLB (Hons) pro- gramme with focus on intel- lectual property, cyber and international business law. Varsity's vice chancellor Rabindra Kumar Sinha said the course is likely to begin in the upcoming academic year and students with a gra- duation degree will be eli- gible to apply for it, "Currently, we are run- ning a five-year law pro- gramme, BA LLB," he said. The university has also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Australia's Western Sydney University for promoting re- searches in biotechnology, environmental science and other interdisciplinary sub- jects. "Through the collabo- ration, we will initiate a stu- dent exchange programme with the university at undergraduate, post gradu- ate and PhD levels. Final-ye- ar students can also accomp- lish their last year project from the other university," Sinha said. Western Sydney Univer- sity will offer bio-tech pro- agriculture-ba- grammes, sed programmes, and digital humanities courses to GBU as a part of the agreement. On Monday, GBU is held a two-day conference on the National Education Policy.
